Prenatal yoga is designed to prepare the expectant mother for labour. This class has many benefits for both mom and baby and helps alleviate many common discomforts mothers experience in their changing bodies. The Yoga postures during pregnancy focus on strengthening and relaxing the uterus and pelvic muscles, improving circulation and balance, aiding with digestion, relieving tension, and revitalizing the internal organs. No, prior yoga experience is necessary, and you can start at any point during your pregnancy with your doctor's or midwife's approval.
